Pomegranates are a superfood no matter how you look at it!
Pomegranate aril juice provides approximately 16% of an adult's daily vitamin C requirement per 100 ml serving, and is a good source of vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid),potassium and polyphenols, such as tannins and flavonoids.
They're also a high-fiber food when you consume the arils seeds. These seeds offer more than just fiber, however, since they also contain healthy unsaturated oils.
In clinical trials in 2010 at the National Institutes of health, pomegranates also offer healing properties for a variety of diseases from the common cold to cancer.
